2008 - 2009 Team du Coeur Tryouts

For our Learn to Skate program members, the auditions should be viewed simply as the opportunity for our coaches to properly evaluate your skater for placement on a team.  This is not a competitive audition; it IS our goal to place all skaters on a team suited to their skill level. So relax!

Your skater need not know how to do all of the elements listed for their level, though they may be asked to try them after some instruction.

Beginner Team Levels

Beginner 1: Ideal for first-time synchro skaters!
• Most skaters will be under age 9
• Recommended the skater be enrolled in Snowplow Sam 3 or above;
• Must be able to skate backwards using pumps.

Beginner 2: Most skaters will be age 9 – 11
• Recommended the skater be enrolled in Basic 4 or above

Beginner 3: Most skaters will be age 12 and up
• Recommended the skater be enrolled in Basic 4 or above

Team du Coeur will also be holding auditions for the Pre-Juvenile and Open Juvenile Levels for skaters with synchro experience and/or USFS tests underway.

Please pre-register online with your child’s age and test levels, so we may direct your skater to the appropriate tryout session or sessions.

Skaters need to bring:
Copy of US Figure Skating membership card
Copy of birth certificate if new to team
$25 per Beginner skater; $55 per Pre-Juv or Open Juv skater

United States Figure Skating judges will evaluate skaters
Auditions are closed to spectators for the Pre-Juvenile and Open Juvenile/Intermediate Divisions
