May 19 and 26, 2009

6:25 - 7:00 PM Training Team and Beginner 1
Ages 9 and under
Basic 3 - Prepreliminary Moves

7:00 - 7:45 PM Beginner 2 & 3 and PreJuvenile
Ages 10 and over
Basic 4 - Preliminary Moves

7:45 - 8:15 PM Open Juvenile
Passed PreJuvenile Moves

Skaters should attend both days of auditions.

2009 - 2010 Team du Coeur Tryouts

Team du Coeur offers competitive synchronized skating teams for kids of all ages – and most skill levels, too!

Skating just once a week on a team is not only fun, it also greatly increases a skater’s individual skating skills. Teams range from 8—16 skaters based upon age and skill level.

Team du Coeur will soon be forming a series of Beginner teams and a new Introductory team for the 2009-20010 season. No synchro experience is needed to audition for any of the Beginner teams.

NEW Introductory Team!

Learn the basics of synchronized skating on a non-competitive, performance-based team. Geared for first-time synchro skaters, age 9 & under.

Skaters should be in Snowplow Sam 3 & up, or Basic 3 & up.

The team will perform in shows and exhibitions at Lakeland from August—December initially. Click here to read more.

Beginner 1 Division

Designed for skaters having passed Basic 4 & up. Most skaters will be under age 9.

Must be able to skate backwards using pumps. Click here to read more.

Beginner 2 or Beginner 3 Division

Most skaters will be age 9 and up as of July 1.

Recommended the skater be enrolled in Basic 4 or above; cannot have passed Prelim. Moves. Click here to read more.

Team du Coeur will also be holding auditions for the Pre-Juvenile and Open Juvenile Levels for skaters with synchro experience and/or USFS tests underway.Please pre-register online with your child’s age and test levels, so we may direct your skater to the appropriate tryout session or sessions.

Skaters need to bring the following to auditions:
Copy of US Figure Skating membership card
Copy of birth certificate if new to team
$25.00 for intro/training team and beginner divisions
$40.00 for Prejuvenile and Open Juvenile
United States Figure Skating judges will evaluate skaters
Auditions are closed to spectators for the Pre-Juvenile and Open Juvenile/Intermediate Divisions

Monthly Team Payment

Beginner teams – estimated $125 per month, August—March

Introductory team—estimated $75 month, August—mid December minimum.

Includes ice time, off-ice practice, coaching, practice dress and music; competition fees for Beg./Open teams.

There are many opportunities to fundraise to offset the monthly payment.
