Team Placement

Team du Coeur offers competitive synchronized skating teams for those interested in training and competing as a group.

At the Beginner level, skating once a week on a team is not only fun, it also greatly increases a skater's individual skating skills. Teams range from 8 - 16 skaters based upon age and skill level.

Team du Coeur will soon be forming Beginner teams for the 2011 - 2012 season for skaters enrolled in Basic 6 and above by the fall.

No synchro experience is needed to audition for any of the Beginner teams. Join our family-friendly atmosphere of teamwork and fun.

Introductory Team
May return for the 2012 season! Skaters age 6-8 are encouraged to consider Beginner 1.

Learn the basics of synchronized skating on a non-competitive, performance-based team.  Geared for first-time synchro skaters, majority age 9 & under.  Skaters should be in Snowplow Sam 3 & up,  or Basic 3 & up.  The team will perform in shows and exhibitions at Lakeland from August—March/April.

Beginner 1 Division
Designed for skaters enrolled in Basic 6 and up by this fall*.  Most skaters will be under age 9.  This is a competition team and does travel.

Beginner 2 Division
Most skaters will be age 9 and up as of July 1.  Designed for skaters in Basic 6 and up; cannot have passed Prelim. Moves.

*For Skaters currently in Basic 5 and under:
Skaters should attend Team Placement Days and enroll in Spring and Summer Learn-to-Skate classes, team class and/or extra help lessons to reach minimum of Basic 6 by fall. Skaters may be placed on a Beginner team roster "in training" until Basic 6 is attained.

It is possible for skaters to enroll in two separate days of Basic Skills classes at the same time.
